Finishing my Ag Day Garden 22 September 2015

I am excited about Ag Day. I am excited because it is my first Ag Day. 

Every single of my plants is looking good except for one. The little dinosaur!! I tried to fix the plants. I was being resilient. But I don't think the plant had much room in there. 

My favourite plant is the minion!

Tonight I worked on the computer. I made a sign for my Toy Shop. I'm going to put my toys in a wooden box like a toy shop. I spent a long time on the computer. I spent along time choosing how to write the words. 

Tomorrow my Daddy is going to print off my blog for me. 

De-heading my flowers 14 September 2015

Today I watered plants again. One of the plants isn't going well but all the others are. I need to keep looking after my plant so it doesn't die. 

I de headed flowers. There is some new buds so I might get some more flowers. 

Watering my garden 31 August 2015

Today it's raining so I put my plants out in the rain. Then they started growing! I don't need to water them tonight because they already watered. 

Planting My Ag Day Garden 29 August 2015

Today I planted my Ag Day garden. 

My Dad helped me do the toys. He made a hole in the top of the dinosaurs, dolls and a minion. 

Then he drilled holes in the bottom so that the water can come through them. 

Then I planted the plants so they don't die. I planted them gently. 

My brother gave me a minion to use. My dad chopped a hole in its head. I planted a plant in it.

Every day I am going to water my plants so they can grow. If I don't water them then they will die. 

Starting my AG Day Garden 25 August 2015

I am going to make a Toy Shop for my Ag Day Garden.

I am going to have dinosaurs (for my brother) and dolls (for me and my sister) in my Toy Shop. I am going to grow the plants in the old toys. Some of them are broken so I can use them. My Dad will help me cut them up so I can grow plants in them. 

After school today we went to the plant shop. I got some plants for my garden. My Nana met us there. She helped me choose the plants to use. My mum doesn't know about plants but my Nana does so that's why she came. She was VERY good.

I got:

1. Alyssum for my doll

2. Dianthus for the other doll

3. Dichondra Mercury Bay Grass for the dinosaurs

4. Potting mix

Painting Little Miss' Wig

The Little Miss wig is now dry and we can paint it. 

She has rainbow hair so I am painting it like a rainbow. 

I had to paint it two times so the colour was bright enough. I painted a pink bow on her hair. I painted a black outline on her. 

My brother and sister liked trying on the wig.

Costume: Imaginary Friend

I made a costume for my imaginary friend. Her name is Little Miss. She helps me learn my letters.

Imade my costume out of letters. I also made my costume out of cards. The cards tell you about Little Miss. She is a chatterbox, a sunshine, giggly, sometimes bad and a princess. 

I made Little Miss a wig. It looks exactly like her hair.

I like my Little Miss costume. 

Learning Letters

Little Miss is my imaginary friend. She helps me learn my letters. I found a broken puzzle. I glued the letters from the puzzle on.

Making Little Miss' Hair

I watched TV and saw Art Attack. They were making a wig out of newspaper and a balloon. I made a plan to make one. I thought it would be good for wearable arts. 

I blew up a balloon. Then I chopped up pieces of the newspaper. Next I got a bowl of flour and mixed water in it to make a glue. Next I stuck the glue on to the newspaper and put it on the balloon. Then we left it to dry. 

Mummy helped me cut two bottles in half and duct tape them to the balloon. They are going to be the pigtails. I reused the bottles so I could make my costume.

My new costume

We were sorting out our cards and we figured out a way to solve the problem! I thought to put the cards on my costume. I picked the cards that had some missing and we couldn't use any more. 

I was sorting out the pillowcases so I could make my costume. It was an old one that mummy didn't want anymore. 

I lay my dress on the pillowcase. I drew around it. It looked exactly the same on the pillow case. It was like a pattern. 

I cut my costume. Mummy helped me because it was a little bit hard to cut the pillowcase because we couldn't find the right scissors. 

I tried it on to see if it fitted me. 

I used the sewing machine to make my costume. I sewed the hem on the bottom first. I learnt to use a sewing machine at kindy. 

I laid it out on the floor how I wanted it to look. 

I sewed on the cards. It was hard. Mummy helped me. Mummy wanted to make the sewing machine go fast but I didn't like it because it was too noisy. I had to sew the cards on the line. It took ages. 

I have nearly finished. I just need to make a hat and a necklace for my costume. 

My costume is for my imaginary friend "little miss". 

Oh no...I can't go!

This is a angry face. I am angry because I  have to think of something else to make for wearable arts. Because my Dad chucked all my plastic in the bin. I was going to use is for my costume. I can't use it anymore. He didn't know it was my wearable arts costume. He thought it was for rubbish.

My name is Phoebe. I am creating a wearable arts costume.  I am making an outer space costume. 

Today I drew a picture of what it will be like. It is going to be made of plastic. I am going to use the sewing machine to sew my costume. I have used a sewing machine at kindy. 

I got the plastic from my mums friend Nicole. It was rubbish from her work. I am going to reuse it to make my costume.
